KIDNAPPING PLOT
COLLEGE STUDENT ARRESTED. SAN FRANCISCO, June 27. An unsuccessful plot to kidnap the wife of Mr D. C. Jadding, the copper millionaire, resulted in the arrest of Bliss Baker, a senior college student and writer on criminology, who is alleged to have confessed. The police are pursuing a student accomplice. Tho accomplice telephoned to Mrs Jackling and informed her that a friend had Ivcon injured in an automobile accident on a lonely road. Simultaneously a telephone message was set to Jaekling at his office telling him that his wife had been kidnapped, and unless she was ransomed immediately she would be given disease germs. The millionaire communicated with the police, who delivered the money and trapped Baker before Mrs Jaekling reached the scene of the false accident.
