STABILISATION OF WOOL. GOVERNMENT WILL NOT INTERVENE. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright MELBOURNE, June 12 It was announced at the Gcaziers’ Conference that the Federal Government would not intervene in the wool stabilisation proposals. BROADCASTING LICENSES. MELBOURNE:, June 12. In the House of Representatives the Postmaster-General (Mr W. G. Gibson) stated that on May 30, 61,518 listening-in. licenses had been granted in the Commonwealth., of which 33,964 were in New South Wales. The total amount of the license fees collected was £113,658. The sum paid to the broadcasting companies ranged from £4220 in Perth to £34,628 in Sydney. POSTAL DEPARTMENT’S PROFIT.
