LONDON POLICE STRIKE

QUESTION OF REINSTATEMENT. * DIFFERENCE OF OPINION. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, LONDON, January 6. The committee appointed by the late Labour Ministry to report on the police strike dismissal in 1919 failed to agree on the question of reinstatement. A majority of the committee were opposed to such a. course, on the ground that the men had violated their oath and had exposed the community to enormous danger, and were therefore unfitted to be poheemen. The minority urged that, failing reinstatement, the men should be re-engaged a* opportunity offered- —A. and N.Z. Cable.
