NEGOTIATIONS BY GERMANY. BRITAIN’S POSITION SECURE. Praas Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. BERLIN, January 6. Hurried negotiations are proceeding in Germany with the various Powers regarding the Customs arrangement from January 10, on which date Germany’s obligation to give the Allies “most favoured nation” treatment expires. No agreement has yet been reached with Prance, Italy, or Belgium, hut Britain’s position is secured by the recent commercial treaty. ■Reuter learna in this connection, however, Germany does not intend to extend the most favoured nation treatment to the dominions unless the latter respond similarly. Negotiations have already been opened with Germany by Canada.—Router.
