TREATMENT OF CONSUMPTION
SPAHLINGER’S METHODS. NEW ZEALAND DOCTOR NOT IMPRESSED. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND. December 8. Dr Blackmore (superintendent of the Cashmere Hills Sanatorium) returned by the Niagara. Dr Blackmore studied Spahlinger's methods of treating consumption. ‘T am doubtful whether Spahlinger has found anything better than we have already got, ’’ he said in an interview. “I found ho was making serum from horses’ blood somewhat similar to a good many serums previously made. Spahlinger is a man who refuses really independent tests of his treatment, and although he has been urged to tako in one or two bacteriologists, particularly from Now Zealand, ho will not agree to ihis being done; consequently every country is holding back.”
