In the Police Court Alexander Robertson admitted three charges ot obtaining £2l 15s 9d by valueless cheques at Wanganui and Hamilton; also that he was married at Wellington on April 24, 1909, to Annie Pennell, there being two children, and went through the form of marriage later with' a nurse (whose name the court suppressed), thereby committing bigamy. Ho was committed for sentence on the bigamy charge and remanded for sentence on the other charges. GREYMOUTH, December 8. The Blackball miners have accepted the now agreement by a large majority. The Paparoa men rejected it by a small vote. NAPIER, December 8. Charles William Bryhatn, aged 27 years, pleaded guilty to issuing valueless cheques at Napier and Wairoa. Ho *was sentenced to six months in gaol.
