Pms Aesocistion —By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, September SL (Received Sept. 21, at 5.6 p.m.) A tragedy is reported from Petersham. A railway fireman named M’lnnes or M'Guinnes shot dead a barmaid named Winifred Foley, aged 21 years, and then shot himself.' He is in a serious condition. The couple had been keeping company, but the girl discovered that the man was married and separated from his wife, and she broke off the courtship. He persisted in pressing his attentions, so she sought the protection of the police, who warned the man, but he till persisted, and on Saturday he visited the hotel, where she was employed. The girl went to the police station and complained. When she returned M‘lnnes met her, an altercation proceeding. Another admirer of the girl intervened. MTnnes suddenly grasped the girl round the waist, shot her twice through the breast, and then shot himself in the head. The police, who had visited the hotel in search of MTnnes, arrived on the scene just as the man shot himself.
