ROSLYN RATEPAYERS’ ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the executive of the Roslyn and Kaikorai Ratepayers and Householders’ Association was held in the Wakari Hall on Thursday evening. In the absence of the president (Mr P. L. Ritchie) Mr L. Kemnitz was voted to the chair, those present being Messrs J. Hunter, J. Stewart, J. C. Wilson, J. A. Armit, W. Sinclair 8 Corbett, J. Hood, G. Purton, W. Taylor, and the secretary, R. C. Haigh. Dr Stuart Mooro was elected a member of the executive. The following sub-committee was appointed to report on the reopening of the Roslyn baths: —Dr Stuart Mooro (convenor), Messrs Corbett, Armit, Purton, W. E. Walden, and H. MTntosh. A vote of thanks was accorded to Messrs A. Washer, J. Stewart, W. Taylor, and G. Purton for their interest and effort in the inauguration of the movement. It is intended to hold a public meeting at an early date, when the aims and objects of the association will be placed before the residents of the district, and an endeavour made do accentuate the progress of Roslyn and Kaikorai.
Messrs Ritchie, Kemnitz, and Corbett were also appointed a subcommittee to wait on the chairman of the City Council Works Committee in regard to an urgent matter.
