OTAGO CRICKET ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Otago Cricket Association was held last night. Mr J. J. Clark occupied the chair. A letter was received from the New Zealand Cricket Council enclosing communications from ’English players desirous of securing positions as coaches in Now Zealand,. The council also advised that the Otago Association's share of the profits of the New South Wales team's tour amounted to £O7 7s Id—Received. Tho draft of the annual report was read and additions made, and it was decided to hold the annual meeting on Tuesday, September 23. , ~ Bimiie gEvc notice* of motion that tho transfer rule should be altered to read as follows:—“The secretary of each club shall Bend to the secretary of the association at least throe days before the first match in each season the names of all playing members of each club. With the names a declaration containing tho following particulars must be supplied(a) Which of the players to be registered have played for the club the previous season; (b) which of the players have been members of other affiliated clubs, the clubs to which they belonged, and that tho necessary clearances are held by the club now Joined; (c) which plavers are from other districts and their respective clubs: (d) which players are players who have nut previously been members of an affiliated club.” The Chairman gave notice of motion that all disputes that, might arise on any point should be decided by Hie executive. It was agreed to discuss at Hie animal mooting a suggestion that the side losing the toss in the first round should automatically win the toss in the second round.
