ANNUAL REUNION OF ST. HILDA EX-GIRLS.

'Hie annual reunion of the St, Hilda Old Girls’ Association began on Saturday last, when a large number of past and present girls met at the school in the afternoon. The chief event was a net-hall match between the past and present girls. It was a most exciting contest, and was at. last decided in favour of the present girls. Afterwards, a pleasant 'lime was spent renewing friendships, some of which had begun years before. 0n Sunday evening a special service was held in the school chapel. On Monday evening a reception was given at the school, when the “old girls” entertained the pupils of today. An excellent programme was provided, one amusing item being (he exhibition of some old-fashioned ideas of calisthenics by some of the senior ex-pupils, who were dressed as nearly as possible in the garb of their school days. During the evening a travelling rug w'as presented to Sister Etheleen by Mrs John Neil on behalf of the “old girls’’ as a mark of their affection and a recognition of her unvarying kindness to past pupils. Supper was served in the library, where the tables were beautifully decorated with spring flowers. On Tuesday evening was held the annual meeting of the association, when the following office-bearers were elected ;—President, Mrs John Neil; vice-presidents— Mesdames Beoche.v, Mondy, G. A. Richards, and A. Richards; committee—Mesdames G. 11. Parkinson. 11. F, Wilson, L. M’MiHan, and S. Arthur, Misses Cheeseman, Fulton. Wooclliottso, Featherstonc. Galbraith, Wilkin, Green, Barnett, and Allan: secretary. Miss Gibbs : assistant secretary, Miss Blyth. On Wednesday the old girls’ stall at the annual bazaar was in charge of Misses Richards and Mondy, who were assisted hv numerous ex-girls.
