(Received June 11, at 5.5 -p<-m.)‘ Mr Peter Clark MacFarlane, the noted American theologian, author, arid playwright, has committed suicide to escape from the sufferings of diabetes.—A. and! N.Z. Cable. Mr MacFarlane was bom in 1871, and after spending two years on the stage ho became pastor of a sect known as Disciples of Christ. In 1918 he Went to Europe for the Saturday Evening Post and spent some months with the American army in France. He was known as a journalist and as a writer of magazine stories and books.
