In the House of Commons, Mr Baldwin informed Mr Ramsay MacDonald that the Government did not intend to make representations to the French Government in respect to the rumoured secret negotiations between the French High Commissioner in Rhineland and the Germans Regarding an attempt to create a separata Rhineland State. The Government had no knowledge of the authenticity of the report.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
