LEAGUE OF NATIONS’ ' REQUEST. AMERICAN STATE DEPARTMENT IGNORED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright NEW Y ORK, June 26. (Received June 26, at 9.50 p.m.) The four United States representatives on The Hague Permanent Court of Arbitration Court have received from the League of Nations’ Council a request for a new nominee to succeed the late Judge Barbosa (Brazil) on the World Court. This direct communication is interpreted as a reflection on the State Department, which last year failed to forward a similar notification promptly to the individual representatives.—A. and N.Z.
