AMATEUR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
% OTAGO CENTRE. A meeting of the committee of the Otago Centre of the Now Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was held last night; present—Messrs C. W. Clark (in the chair), K. Thompson, J. Reynolds, H. Clark, H. J. C. M'Kenzie. J. H. List, J. Richardson, A. Melville, B. R. M'Kcrnan, F. J. D. Rolfe, VV. J. Bennett, and G. Luckhurst (acting secretary). An application by the Taieri Amateur Athletic Club for affiliation was granted, subject to the rules being in order. A proposal by the club to hold a sports meeting on March 3 was approved.
The secretary of the New Zealand Association wrote stating that the application for the reinstatement of T. L. Maw had been referred to the Athletic and Cycling Union. —Received. It was decided to authorise Mr E; L. Macasscy and the treasurer to sign cheques on behalf of the centre. Mr C. R. Bell wrote stating that there would be no entry from the Kaikorai School for the boys’ relay race, as all the members of the two teams would be out of town. A communication, couched in similar terms, was received from Mr T. S. Holme (acting principal of the John M'Glashan College).—Received.
