The executive of the St. John Ambulance Association met last night, when merely routine business was transacted. The secretary presented a report on the ambulance work for 1922, in which it was stated, inter alia, that the machines had run 7000 miles, the number of culls being 1047, or slightly less than those for the preceding 12 months. Tho average length of each trip was a shade over six and a-half miles. The year’s work resulted in a considerable monetary loss, no charge being made in tho case of patients in indifferent circumstances. During December the nurses paid 398 visits.
