Mr A. 11. Fisher, general manager of tlie Standard Insurance Company, left on a business visit Ip Christchurch yesterday morning.
Advice has been received at Gore that Mr J. ‘Faulks, late of Argyle Station, has returned to Wellington. Mr Paulks has been on a lour of South Africa, hunting big game. Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P. for Avon, arrived in the city last evening after spending a holiday in Central Otago, and will proceed to Christchurch to-day.
Our Wellington correspondent telegraphs that Sir William Hcrries, who has not been in good health for some time, has accepted the advice of his doctor that he should become a patient of the Bowen Street Hospital. tee is in need of a complete rest for several weeks.
