MONTHLY MEETING. The Otago 'Land Board held its first monthly meeting yesterday, when, there weio present: The Commissioner (Mr R. T. Sahel), Messrs J. buuth, T. A. Munro, C. J. Inder, and G. Livingstone. The following business was dealt with: Reconsideration of the mode of disposal of section 3, block 65, Hawksbury Town. — yearly lease gianted to David Walker at 6s per annum. Re application for a miscellaneous license over tiie township reserve, Bendigo, 242 acres, by Mrs Jeanette I. Mann.— leany license at 10s per annum granted. Mrs Jane M’Lennan applied for a licenseover part river reserve adjoining section 36, block IV, Bunbaok district.—leariy license at 5s per annum granted. Jas. G. Bagel applied for a year-to-year license over section 5,, block Xlli, town of Moaraki. — dearly license at rent to be suggested by ranger. Application tor a further lease of section 24, block IX, Kaitangata, at present held by Morrison Bros (area, 20 acres).—Renewal granted for three years. Re application for a further lease of section 23, block IX, Kaitangata, at present held by' Tho.j. Gage (area 20 acres). —Renewal granted tor three years. Edwin A. M’Donald applied for an occupation lease over an area of unsurveyed land in, block IX, Leaning Rock district, lying along the bank of the Moiyneux River, immediately north of the Alexandra town belt. -TGranied, subject to survey at la per acre per annum. Roderick 'M. Tohill applied to purchase the area in block VI, Tiger Hill district, at present, neld by him under miscellaneous license. —Declined. The chief surveyor notified the completion of the survey of sections 32 and 33, block XVI, Tarras district. —Small grazing run. leases granted to H. L. Paterson and Stokes and Sou, at £3 and £1 per annum respectively. / David Adam Lyltle applied for an occupation lease over section 115, block I, Teviot district. —Granted at la per annum. Win. Walter Stringer applied lor an occupation lease over section 116, block I, Teviot district.—Granted at 18s per annum. Walter Haig applied for an occupation lease over an area in block IV, Lauder district, between sections 16 and 17. —Declined. Suggestions for the expenditure of “thirds and fourths'’ from the Alexandra Borough Council and the Waitnki, Clutha, and Vincent County Councils were approved. The following transfer's were approved; River frontage opposite sections 55, 59, block IT, Bengei, 70 acres—Janies Walker to Richard Job. Walker. Section 50, clock XI, North Harbour and Blueskin, 10 acres—Elizabeth Ann Adi© to Nicholas Sslwyn Reid. Section 50, block XI, North Harbour and Blueskin, 10 acres—Nicholas Sclwyn Reed to Francis Samuel Templeton. Section 293, block XI and sections 21 and 22, block 111, Ghnmerburn, 7456 a Or 18p—Alexander Brown Armour to Paul Reginald Henry Clarke. Run 204, Upper Taieri, 2430 acres—John Thomas Wilson to Harold Edgerton Blakely. Run 240 b, Lake County, 16,650 acres — Albert Kane to E. A. Waters. Section 11, black XIII, and section 1, block XIV, Moerold, 307 acres —Rachel P. Stenhouse to Grace Chapman. Re consideration of the proposed forfeiture of renewable lease No. 312, held by Thomas Evans over section 11, block I, Benmor© S.D., area llao 2r 20p—Given six months within which to comply with resident's condition of lease. The remainder of the business consisting of applications for advances by soldier settlers and applications for renewals of licenses by run-holders, was taken in committee.
