MASTER TON, January 3, A seven-roomed house, luxuriously furnished, situated at Landsdowne, and owned and occupied by Kemble Wekih, a dentist at Master ton, was destroyed by fire Monight. The water supply in this suburb is of an extremely low pressure, and. -the • brigade's efforts were fruitless to effect*, save. The building was comulctely-' demolishod. Mr Welch and his wife were in Wellington for the holidays. The cause'-cf the out-break was unknown. The insurances are unavailable, but it is believed that the building is covered.
