BOWLING.
RDSLTPN CLUB. The Roelyn Bowling Club closed its green for this season on Saturday afternoon. There wag a good attendance of members, several representatives from other clubs, and a number of ladies and visitors. The closing game was played by rinks selected from the players present, and a very pleasant afternoon was spent. In formally closing the green, Mr G. Slimpson (president) stated that although the club had not made a good showing in the pennant and championship rinks, mem here had bad a good time and hoped to do better next season. He also .congratulated the ladies on the great success of their section, and thanked them for the great assistance they had rendered during tiie season in giving their time to assist so willingly with the afternoon teas. Mr H. J. Duncan (president of the NorthEast Valley Club) stated that it gave the members of his club great pleasure to be present at the closing of the green, and mentioned that his club had rendered, every possible assistance to the Ladies’ section at the Valley, and also stated that the ladies there had rendered very valuable assistant Ihe president then formally dclared tho green closed.
