DUNEDIN FIRE BOARD
The usual monthly ruectinsr of the DunedEn Fire Board was held in the hoard room yesterday, when there were present: Mr 7. Wilson (chairman), and Messrs J. J. Clark, T. Chalmer, and J. S. Hislop. The General Committee reported that requisitions Nos. 908 to 916 for various stores had heen approved; also that accounts amounting to £973 19e 7d had heen passed for payment. The financial position of the board on March 14 showed a credit balance of £3119 13s.—The report was adopted. Superintendent Napier reported that the “P” circuit of the fire alarm system connecting up the North-East _ Valley district had heen placed in commission yesterday afternoon. The location of the fire alarms is as follows; —Botanical Gardens, Valley road and Chambers street. Valley road and Millar street, Carr atreet and France street, Post Office, North East Valley. Ross Home, NorthEast Valley, Normauby tram terminus, Black's road ard Carnegie street, Signal Hill road and Black’s road, Evans street and Comley Bank, Opoho road and Arden street, Orbeli and Falkirk streets (Dalmorc). The board went into committee to consider the matter of fire protection in the Green Island Borough.
