FATAL FAMILY QUARREL. Press Association—By Telegraph—^Copyright. MELBOURNE, January 3. , The Baker tragedy at Brighton was the finale of a long family quarrel. A few days, ago his wife secured a protection order against Baker, in view of his alleged 'threats. [A previous message stated that a tragedy occurred et Brighton. Mrs Baker, who was separated from her husband, arrived home late at night with her son and a boarder narn&d Rainsburg. On entering the house Mrs Baker’s husband appeared from one of tho rooms and commenced firing a revolver. He fatally shot Rainsburg and wounded his wife in tho head and his sop slightly. Baker escaped / into a paddock, Vvhefe he exchanged ahota with the'police, and then shot himself in the head. Balter and his wife wore sent to hospital.]
