SALE OF ASSETS CONFIRMED. The affairs of the Dominion Portland Cement Company came again before Air Justice Cooper at the Supreme Court at Auckland on Friday, when,Mr J. R. Keed, K.C., on behalf of the liquidator, moved [or a formal order confirming and vatidat-' mg the sale of the company's assets by the liquidator in January to Mr E. Garard receiver for the debenture-holders, and authorising the liquidator to affix the comP^ D i 7\ st 0 the docu m e nts connected with the sale. The motion was made necessary by the recent order of the court that the liquidation should continue under tho courts supervision, such an order involving a review of the liquidator's acts previous to the order being made. Mr Reed put in an affidavit by the hquidator (Mr F. T. Eyre), in which the latter stated that the purchase price of the assets was £137,500, and that on April 3 the assets were again sold by Mr Gerard to Air O. Nicholson, as trustee for a company to bo formed under the name of Wilson's (N.Z.) Portland Cement Company. I his company was incorporated on Alay 31.
