SHIPPING PROSPECTS
MINISTERIAL STATEMENT. (Pbb Usitsd Pbess Association.) WELLINGTON , . September 24. Referring to Mr Hoover's statement regarding shipping tho Hon. Mr Guthrie said to-day that he received no advice of the intention of the Imperial authorities to divert any ships already promised to NewZealand. The arrangements made so fax extended only till the end of the year, but nothing had happened to lead tho Government to suppose that there would be no ships after that time. On the contrary the indications had been that there would bo reasonable shipping available for the New Zealand trade.
