ROSLYN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

The sixteenth anniversary services of t!io Roslyn Presbyterian Church were celebrated on Sunday, when representative congregations enjoyed three services, peculiarly anticipatory of wliat may come to pass— when tne -Yictliodist', Congregational, and Presbyterian Churches slum be one. At the morning servico the prcucner was the Rev. Clarence Eaton, of tne Vietliodist Central Mission, whose bright, crisp, and ciieeriul utterances captivated old and young alike, liis sermon, bused on tho text iound in St. Luke's Gaspel, chapter ii, verses 54 and 35, was particularly helpful at this season of sacrifice and suliering, clearly showing that tho visions of Simeon have become the note of trials of to-day, and that in Jesus Christ tho world's salvation is alone assured.

In the alternoon a children's service was held, when the Rev. R. Pah-maid was the speaker, lie addressed the children from tue words, "'Up, through, nrst, single," and was attentively iistened to by a large gathering of scholars and friends. The evening servico was conducted by tho Rev. vV. Saunders, of Moray Place Congregational Church, who gave a masterly and thoughtful sermon from the instance of the deliverance of Jahesh-Giieud by Saul and the Israelites Irom tne Ammonites, making a powerful appeal for the employment of tne latent resources of in the victory of the Church over sin. Suitable music was rendered at the morning services by tho choir under the ■leadership of the organist (Mr Thomas Ritchie).
