ADDINGTON STOCK MARKETS, (Pee United Pbess Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 22. At the Addington stock market to-day there were smaller yardings in several departments, notably in sheep classes. There was a better tone in the store sheep market, wethers and lambs being in better demand. The entry included ewes and lambs from Gisborne, the latter selling at lis 5d to 19s lod. Fat lambs sold well, as did fat sheep, the latter advancing Is to 2s per head. Fat cattle were irregular, hut there was little change in PTices, except for inferior sorts, which were easier. Store cattle met with fair demand, the entry consisting chiefly of three and four-year-old steers and dry cows. Bacon pigs and stores were easier, while porke-rs showed no change. There was a good demand for dairy cows.
