Judging by the applause of tho large audience at tho Princess 1 heat re last even°"e the most popular turns was that of the favourite entertainers, Maud Courtney and Mr C., whose songs and stories were successful in their appeal to the ready appreciation of wit and humour. Cood musical items can always be counted upon to prove popular, as was again witnessed by tha hearty applause and the recalls extended to Gregory Ivanoff, the talented Russian violinist, and the gifted Kennedy duo, who have a strong supporter in their pianist. Miss AdeHe. The spectacui- £ cfc i° £ Miss Winifred La France, in which she appears as the ccntre of constantly changing and very gorgeous representation, showed what wonderful effects can be obtained bv the uso of modern stage appliances. Several other performers appeared during the evening.
