SEVEN DAYS' LEAVE
Messrs Ben and John Fuller announce the ? r S ' ltalrrk >' evening of Allan Wilkie, the famous English leading man, supported by a strong cast, in Walter Howard s latest play of submarine and spy menace, entitled " Seven Days' LeaVe. T-his play is at present having a succcssful run at the Lyceum Theatre, London, having already been played for over one year, and also played for 12 weeks «t the Grand Opera. House, Sydney, and for nine weeks at the Prmccss Theatre, Melbourne. Its action dealsthrillingly with the adventures of a British officcr on seven days' leave, showing the climax, with most exciting detail, how ? treacherous U boat was lured to its destruc?ton by a brave girl. The sinking of the submarine is described as a wonderful piece of stage mechanism, while the art of the scenic artist is said to bo further seen in many picturesque settings, which include the interior of a German military hospital and the telling episode of the dedication of a shrine to fallen heroes. The sroy menace is handled in masterly manner* and Las never failed to impose an irresistible jrrip on audiences. The author, in brief, has struck the notes which are sure of an echo in the hearts of the people. The box plan for the season will open at The Bristol this morning at 10 o'clock. No extra charge is made for booking.
