AMUSEMENTS.

" Wolf Lowry " is the title/ of the leading picture being shown at the Octagon Theatre. The setting of the story is on the wide spaces of the West of America, and there are sufficient stirring incidents of life on a cattle ranch to satisfy the most exacting. The part of the hero, Wolf Lowry, is interpreted by a well-known American actor, W. S. Hart, and he takee full advantage of the many opportunities for ■ realistic acting which come his way. A number of other interesting pictures are included in the programme. An action-filled story that does net pause to point a moral is found in " Blood Will Tell," the Triangle feature to be screened to-day for the first time at the Queen's and King Edward Theatres. William Desmond is the hero, and the swift changes of fortune and sudden surprises of the ingenious plot suit him well. Enid Markey, as the bright little chorus girl, whose marriage to the hero disgusts the rich father, but proves the hero's salvation, looks prettier than ever before in her screen career. There are some ingenious scenes where the plot of the conspirators is completed by the aid of one of thorn, who accompanies the millionaire on his yacht journey, and contrives to cut off " Old Marble-heart" from, all communication with the world. The new programme to be shown at Everybody's Theatre to-day is headed by the triple star World drama, " Youth. ' It is a " prodigal son" story set in Tennessee. Bryan Goodwin, after a spree, is sent by his father to Tennessee,, where ho meets jean Elliott, and tails in love. While under the influence of liquor he offends her, and later, smarting under the sting , of her retort, he starts to make good. Jean pardons him at the request of her father. The new instalment of "The Iron Claw" 's entitled " The Plunge for Life." The programme also includes " The Topical Budget." "And the Law Says," with its supporting films, was witnessed by large ances at the Plaza Theatre yesterday, and was keenly onjoyad. The same pictures will b« shown again to-day and this evening
