EARLY SETTLERS' ASSOCIATION.
The monthly meeting of tho committee of the Otago Early Settlors' Association was held yesterday afternoon, the -President- (Mr D. Reid) in.the chair. , '■' ; ; A vote of sympathy was passed to Mr W. H. Ferens on tho death of his brother, Mr Thomas Jackson Westland Ferons, of Reefton. Fifteen new members were enrolled.
Tho following deaths were recorded since tho previous meeting:—Mr G. It was reported that the following gifts had been received for the Museum, for which a vote of thanks was passed :—From Mr K. Melville, George street, ten framed photographs, cyclist groups,' two old-timo velocipedes (one made by S. Thomson, of Port Chalmers), and one modpl steam cnpijie, made by Davidson, Maori Hill; from Mr W. T.
