A Union Jack hoisted on a clothes prop was i,ho centre of attraction on St. Clair Beach yesterday afternoon. Palgravo Davy), who arrived from Christchurch the previous night, had found his way to this attractivo beach. Wo understand from Mr Davy that he has been conducting services and organising amusements of this kind at Timaru, Sumner, and Now Brighton during the month. Kaces and games have entered into the afternoon's programme, and at tho service pennies have boon gathered in a child's bucket for the Belgian children. Over £14 has been given in this way. Keen interest is likelv to be taken in the sand decoration competition this afternoon.
