NORTHERN CLUB. The following dro the chief items in the annual report to be sutarittfed at the twentyninth annual meeting Owing to the war our membership roll was depleted, tfit nevertheless we were able to keep four teams in the field each Saturday. The seniors finished runnere-up in both Cup_ and Charity Banner. The junior team finished further up the list than usual. The Third Grade team proved itself too good for all the opposition, and won the cup in their grade by a handsome margin. The Fourth Grade team, as usual, suffered by the non-attend-anoe of one or two players now and again. During the year several prominent members left to join the Expeditionary Forces, included among these being Mr Geo. Campbell (captain of the Seniors) and also Mr J. C. Cameron. The club has supplied 50 mt?n}bers towards thia end. With such numbers away ■ from the club, the proepecta for the coming season are not the brightest. The club is in a fairly good financial position, despite tho decreased membership.
