Replying to Sir H. Norman, the President of the Board of Trade (Mr Burns) said that the board was negotiating with the Marconi Qompany to supply installations on British ships under the Merchant Shipping Convention at a reasonable cost, but the board would not impose on ships the obligation to use the Marconi system.
