CHILD BURIED ALIVE
VERDICT OF MANSLAUGHTER, MAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. ADELAIDE, July 26. At an inquest on a child whb was said to have been buried alive the jury found that death was caused through the father of the girl, a man named Dart, burying it. It added a rider that Dart, in his excitement, overlooked the fact that the child was alive. Dart was committed on a charge of manslaughter. A daughter of John Honry Dart, a butolier, of Millhrook. gave birth to a child tho week before last. The baby was buried alive in a paddock at tho roar of the house, and a doctor called in to attend tho girl. The doctor, refused to give a certificajo of death until ho had seen the body of fho child. When exhumed tho child was still dive, and was treated by the doctor, but on the 17fc inst. it died. John Henry Dart was charged 'with feloniously killing the child.
