The ordinary monthly mooting ot the Dunedin Hospital Trustees, held yesterday afternoon, was attended by Messrs H. Solomon (chairman), J. M'Donald, J. l.oudon, A. E. Tapper, J. M. Hr.ronTs. The House Committee reported having granted two weeks' extra leave of absence to Dr J. P. Hastings, granted three weeks leave of absence to Dr W. M. Macdonald, three weeks' leave of absence to Dr R. Ritchie, two weeks' leave of absence to Dr Colqtihoun, t.wo months' leave of absence to Or '3arneti, Dr O'Neill to take his place. l)r Butement. and Dr Newlands remain on the stair as assistant surgeons. The committee decided that the door belv.-cen the house surgeon's sitting room and bedroom lie closed, and that the room next to tho present bedroom Ire made a sitting room for the junior house surgeons and done up, and that the dispenser's room be given to one of these as a bedroom, and the dispenser moved to the junior surgeons' present silting room. The Firanco Committee recommended that accounts totalling £1930 0s Bd, as per schedule, bo passed for payment: General account, £1455 lis Ed; laboratory acooimt, £24 9s; building account, £450; and that application he made to ths District Hospital Board fcr £833 6s Ed, monthly maintenance allowance. The committee reported tho bank balances on' October 31 were: General account (dr.), £1759 9s 9d; building account (cr.),, £Sl?3 7s 'lid; laboratory account (dr.), £452 3s 8d; Hospital Saturday (cr.), £37 lis 3d; Campbell interest account- (cr.), £1052 17s Sd. The receipts for the month of. October amounted to £1537 16s, being: Irpaticnts, £373 12= lCd: outpatients, £15 13s; donations, £1; sak», £4 3s lOd; Hospital, Boarii contributions, £1133 6s 3d; mcdicirfe sold, £9 19s Bd. The Matron reported that pending meeting of trustees, Sister Grave had been temporarily appointed night sister - at a salary of £75 p-er aunutn. Nurse Field had recovered from 'her illness. ' Nurse Bluckio had been granted a few days' leave of absence.—Adopted.

, Gifts of-books, magazines, and iltiistralcd papers had been made by Mrs Maekomis, Mrs Mercer, Mrs Borland, Mrs Macdonald, and the Commercial Travellers' Club.
