EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.
(Per United Erbss Association.) . CHMSTCHURCH, November 23. The following' are the results to date of the fourth egg-laying competition at Lincoln College under the auspices of the"« New Zealand Utility Poultry Club !— The total number of eggs laid during the week was 1261, and the total to date is 31,008. The following were the best totals for the week:—A. Snodgrass's black Orpingtons, 39;' B. J. Barker's white Leghorns, 39; Mrs W. 0. Sail's white,. Leghorns 36; D. M. Peek's white Leghorns, 36; W. A, Nixon's brown Leghorns, 36. The. following are the best totals to dale :—J. Kennedy's silver. Wyandottes, 938; New Zealand* Poultry Journal Institute's white Leghorns, 900; A. Padman's white Leghorns, 898; Drury and Rose's "white Leghorns, 885;, Allan Petrie's white Leghorns, 861; R, W, Hawke's white Leghorns, 815
