FIRES.

AUCKLAND, Julv 31. A fire occurred at OncJiunga in a' building occupied by the Onehunga Y.M.0.A., 11. Kennedy's hoof, shop and factory, Misses Moss and Sorcnson, and H. Bray and Co., tin latter being the owners of the building, Tho outbreak occurred in Kennedy's shop, and the stock and machinery were completely destroyed. Thcv 'were partly covered by :ui insurance'of £?50 in the Stale Fire Office. The Y.M.C.A. rooms wore gutted, and the damage to the building is estimated at £'.00. It is fully covered by an insurance in the New Zealand office. The premises of Misses Moss and Sorenson and Bray's office sustained but slight damage. NELSON, July 31. An unoccupied five-roomed house in Trafalgar street; South was burnt down this morning. The origin of the outbreak is a mystery, and the police are inquiring. The. house was owned by Mr Georgo Ensor who is now in England. No one has been living in the. place for months, but furniture was stored there, and it was all destroyed. The insurances are: £100 on tho house and £150 on the furniture, both lines in the South British office.
