A SERIOUS ASSAULT.
(Pep. Uhitzd Press Association.) AUCKLAND, September 6. An aged Chinaman named Charlie All Hong, formerly cook to Br Gault, of Tauram?a, was attackod at a house in Wakefield street- to-night by ruffians, one of whom throw a lemonade bottle at him. Tho bottle struck 'him on the head, causing a. deep wound. He was admitted to the hospital in a serious condition. No arrest has yet been made.
