POLITICAL LABOUR LEAGUE
THE LIBERAL PARTY DENOUNCED. (Per United Pkil63. Association.) OHPvTSTOHURCH, September 6. At a meeting of. the Political Labour League last night, after a. discussion concerning the demands'of tho league from tho Government, it was resolved, on the motion of Mr J. A. M'Oullough— v " That, this branch of the Independent Political Labour League, after a close study of the measures introduced by t,he'"Ward Ministry, solemnly, and sincorcly declare tlieir conviction that the time has ({one by when workers should attach any faith to promts made hy the Liberal partv. or'beg of Liberals or tho Liberal party for those measures of reform to long advocated. This league therefore urged all* those who havo arrival at the same conclusion to rally round the Labour party of tho' colony,' who havo determined to conical every scat for which a suitablo candidate can lie obtained, with the object of securing from Parliament tho justice deniod by both the old political parties of the colony."
It- was derided that tho Christchurch South. Ricrarlon. Avon, and Lyitelfon scats should l'c contested, by tho league's candidates at the next general election.
