Fraser asks mo to . correct an error in tho Press Aslboiation report, regarding his remarks during the discussion about tno duty on machinery. When tho Tariff Bill was in committee Mr Herrics moved an amendment to, exempt mining machinery from the new duty of 5 per ec.nt, 110. is reported as having-opposed this amendment and as stating that ho could not understand why mining machinery should have escaped in tho past. •As a matter of fact, Mr Fraser sjok© strongly ■in favour of tho amehdmcht, and voted for :t. He urged as a reakin for exempting mining machinery tho hazardous nature of tho industry.
