STRATH-TEIERI CHURCH.
INDUCTION OF REV. W. T. TODD. The Dunedin met at Middlemarch on Thursday afternoon, at a quarter to 3, for the induction of tho Eev. W. 'i\_ Todd into tho charge of the district of •Vliddlcmarch and Hyde. The- meeting was held in tho church, and there was a wonderfully good congregation for the place, considering that the gathering was held at such an hour. The liev. W. Hcwitaui, of Knox Church, Diuicdin, presided. Tho inotnbers of the Presbytery present, in addition to Mr Hewiiion, were, the Revs. .I, Chisholm, D. Maclennau, and R. E. M, Sutherland. The Presbytery found that, all the preliminary steps had been properly taken. TJk> Rev. Mr Uewitson then conducted rviblie worship, preaching from Acts, first chapter, eighth verse. Thereafter ho put the prescribed questions to Mr Todd and ordained him,to the ministry, and inducted him into the charge of Middlcmarch and Hyde. The Rev. Mr Maclennnn addressed tho minister and the liev. J. Chisholm the congregation. At the close, the Eev. Mr Sutherland introduced the members to tho Rev. Mr Todd as they were leaving tho cliHrch. In tho evening a. social was held in tlio church for the purpose of allowing tho congregation to welcome the Rev. Mr Todd. greatest heartiness prevailed.
