AUCKLAND, March 23. At a, meeting of the Discharged Prisoners' Aid Society the secretary was instructed to write to tho Minister of Justice, asking for an explanation of tho statement that he was afraid l of an element of sectarianism creeping in in connection with tho Auckland society, which wouldprejudico tho success of iho movement. It was felt that tho Minister hatl been misled; the committee knows of no effort to form another society, and tho existing society has been doing valuable work lor sevoraj years without sectarianism creeping in.
