WORKERS' DWELLINGS.
(Per Ukited Pbess Association.) AUCKLAND, March 23. Mr March, superintendent of workers* dwelling settlements, met the tenants of Ellerslie workmen's homes, and explained the amended' regulations of tenancy. Hβ stated thai, the Government proposed to do all necessary repairs and renovations due to fair wear ami tear; and ho wont into insurance and other' matters which needed explanation. He showed how the tenants were actually pnyiiifr from 10s to 12s 6d per week rent, as originally stated. The question of reduced railway faros was raised, but with this Mr March was unablo to deal.
