PORT CHALMERS NAVALS. The Port Chalmers Navals fired the second. competition of the Hislop Cup Hatch for prizes presented by Captain Dodda and others. Conditions: Seven shots at 300, 500, and 600 yards. As in the first competition, the wind was yery deceptive, several having misses in their scores after a succession of good hits. DTOEDIN CITY GUARDS. The City. Guards fired the final cup competition on Saturday afternoon. The afternoon was not a. good one lor shooting owing to the strong, changeable winds'that prevailed. Tho conditions for tho bolt wore: Three best out of four Cup Matches at 300, 500, and COO yards, Scratch Match at Olio, SCO, and 700 yards, and Belt Hatch at 500, GOD, am] 700 yards. The winner this year is Volunteer li. K. Johnston, with Volunteer Sonntag runner-up. Volunteer Johnston has shot very steadily riglit through, ond comes out with the good average «f 85, which is excellent for the Fairview Range.
