There was a. good attendance at the strangers' social tea. yeslerda-y. The Rev. A. E, Axcl-en was chairman and speaker, and extended the usual welcome to all prosent. In response, Mr 3. Mon fries gave- an interesting account, of the summer'.? evangelistio work of Mr B. Begg,,a,nd himself in the country districts. Mr' Harrison, a visitor, mentioned a, number of different. Christian organisations ho had visited in the Old Land and in America.
