CHRISTCHUROH, February 13. Philip White, who last week pleaded guilty in tho jower court to charges of robbery witji violonco from White's jewellcr'3 shop, Siootinj with intent, and three charges of burglary, appeared for sentence l«foro Mr Justice Chapman to-day. The prisoner was sentenced to eight years for robbery, eight years for shooting, and five years on each of two burglaries, and threeyears for tho third, the sentences to bo concurrent. His Honor warmly complimented Detectives Bishop ami Ward foT the manner in which they had arrcstod the accused.
