OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND BRASS BANDS CONTEST.
At tho committee meeting last evening a largo amount of correspondence was dealt with. Mr 3 Montaguo was appointed official accompanist. Arrangements were mode for selling tickets clear of the contest building. Tho secretary reported that the various arrangements were well in hand, and that at tlio meeting of iadies it had been decided to run a refreshment stall near to the grounds, in order to successfully cater tor the requirements of the general public, and that the ladies would meet again on Friday evening to mako further arrangements for soiling badges, etc. The committco deßires it to be known that tho entrance doors will bo closed during the performance of any item.
