CALLS TO THE REV. DR GIBB.
(Fnou Our Owx Oorrsspoxdext.) WELLINGTON, April 28. Tho Rev. James Patersan having intimated his intention to resign tho pastorship of St. John's Presbyterian Church, ■Wellington, tho Committee of Selection has made overtures to the Rev. Dr Gibb, with a view to a call. Nothing is yet settled, however, on either side. Dr Gibb Ims given a very guarded reply, and the matter has not yet been brought before the congregation of St. John's. Proposals have been made to Dr Gibb also by the' Selection Committee of St. Andrew's, the pastorship of which was recently resigned bV Iho Rev. Charlos Ojrg. In this rase Dr Gibb has at present refused to' commit himself.
