The number of a-otivo members for the season 1902 totals 23, with an average attendance of 14. This average would have been higher had rf not been for the fact that eeveral of the members who are chemists' assistants attended botany classes on Wednesday afternoons during the season. , The club has visited the following places:— Normanby, Port Chalmers, Kaikora-i Valley, Woodhaugh, Halfway Bush, Rftvcnsbourae, St. Clair, Industrial School, Anderson's Bay, arid Ifosgiel; and best thanks are due to patron:, of the eport at most of these places. The- first race of tlie season was a sealed handicap of one mile and a-half, held on May 28 at Forbury Park, the winners being W. Talboye first and P, Harris second. Tlie second race, on July 23 at Tahuna Park, took ihe form of a Novice Hace. Eleven competitors entered, the winner turning up in Jf, Shand, with A. Clark second. One of the most enjoyable outings of the season was the final one at Mosgiel, where a very pleasant afternoon was spent. In conjunction with the Dunedin H»Triers, tho St. Andrew Harriers took part in a combined supper and presentation of prizes.
