HUMANE SOCIETY AWARDS.

WELLINGTON, August 9.
The Mayor to : iaight presented the medals of the Royal Humane Society of New Zealand to Miss 'A. Mabin, and Messrs W. J. Spencer, and E. •M. Wylie for saving life from drowning in Wellington Harbour. Constables Luke and-Ryan have also to receive certificates.
AUCKLAND, August 9.
The Mayor to-night presented the bronze medals and certificates of the Royal Humane Society to Constable Samuel Thompson, John H.- Colthnrst, platform porter, and Gorge W. Mason, shunter in the Railway department, for bravery in saving life.
