MONEY ORDERS FOR RAROTONGA.

WELLINGTON, July 26,
In connection with the Premier's visit to Rarotonga, an exchange of money orders was arranged to come into force as from the Ist prox. It is believed this will not only be a great convenience to the inhabitants of the Cook Islands, but will br^ak down- the heavy exchange of payments which have been necessary for want of a, proper system of remitting small sums of money, and should also have the effect of substituting British currency for the depreciated Chilian dollars. " The rates of commission on money orders will be the same as on orders drawn on the Australiancolonies.
